That annoying song that gets stuck in your head!

You know when a song, advert or expression gets stuck in your head! Im suffering from day 3 of this annoyance.

Usually its an annoying advert that gets stuck in your head whether it be 'we buy any car . com' or 'go compare' or who remembers the budwiser advert 'whaasssssssuuuuuupppppp' and you'd run around like a complete tool using it instead of hello! lol. Even the silly tune off the direct line advert that had the wee red phone has served its time.

Then theres the song that comes into your head randomly and stays there for the day, often a silly one with repetative lyrics or one that you havn't heard in years. The worst though is when its a new song thats came out and its that one line you keep repeating and repeating over and over because you don't know the rest of the words. So frustrating.

A really common repetative habit, one which I'm guilty off, is abreviating words but actually using them in everyday sentences. I am frequently ridiculed for my use of 'LOL' and 'OMG' (popular one!) but the one I'm finding particularly irritating is 'YOLO', who is responsible for allowing people to add that to every sentence? I've came across a great number of people who didn't even know the meaning of the expression and just used it because it 'sounded cool'. My sister one day said to me something like 'did you watch gossip girl last night, YOLO' (not a direct quote). It doesn't even make sense lol, and shes not the only one. Even those who do know what it means feel the need to highlight on an hourly basis that you only live once perhaps to persuade you to go on a night out or to try a new milkshake as if stating that if you dont do it youll regret it when theres no second life!

So whats the annoyance in my head? A youtube video by two geordie lasses singing their own version of 'Call Me Mabye' by Carly Rae Jepson. Everyone who knows me knows I love a geordie and in particular the geordie slang and accent. When I seen the video someone had posted via facebook I was well excited, I think their version is better than the original. But it has dominated my speech the last few days - I've been singing it in the shower, randomly blurted out the chorus while watching tv, started singing it in the middle of sentences and sang it every 2 minutes on my night out at the weekend. 'Hey I just met ya like, and this is mental, so heres me number, so giz a ring will ya pet' quality! Its defs helped me improve my geordie accent (haha) but I need to stop or I'm going to end up haiting it! Anyways, I've added the video, if you havn't seen it already you should watch BUT be warned its highly addictive.

Lisaloo x
